About Chris DiMacale

Chris DiMacale is founder and principal of Marant Digital, a fractional CMO practice for healthcare and growth-stage organizations that need senior marketing leadership without another layer of agency overhead.

Chris grew up moving—New Zealand, the Philippines, Spain, Japan, and a string of U.S. states. It taught him early that the “obvious” read on a customer, a category, or a culture is usually just the local one. That instinct, to question what others take for granted, has stayed with him throughout his career.

He studied International Affairs at Florida State University and Advertising at The Art Institute of Atlanta. One taught him to understand systems, cultures, and competing interests. The other taught him how to turn that understanding into communication people stop and notice.

That career ran through more rooms than most people in this business ever occupy. Agency work taught him speed and accountability. Financial services taught him how to market complex, intangible products inside regulated environments. Food and beverage taught him the art of impulse conversion, loyalty, and how to market at speed.

Healthcare brought those lessons together.

At Emory Healthcare, Chris led digital marketing in an environment where empathy, evidence, and multiple stakeholders all shape the customer journey. At Medable, he worked against the adoption barriers that come with introducing new technology into an established industry. At PT Solutions, he helped move marketing away from firefighting and toward a more disciplined operating model.

Marant Digital grew out of that experience.

Most healthcare organizations do not need another agency producing more activity. They need someone who can see the bigger strategy, identify what is actually getting in the way of growth, and build a marketing function that can operate without constant outside intervention.

That is the work Chris does: bring the right discipline to the problem, build what the organization actually needs, and leave behind something that works after he is gone.
