About Chris DiMacale
Twenty years in marketing taught me one thing above everything else: the field rewards activity over outcomes. Agencies report on impressions. Dashboards track clicks. Campaigns launch on schedule. And somewhere in all of it, no one is accountable for whether customers actually show up.
I’ve worked inside that system at every level, leading digital strategy at one of the largest academic medical centers in the Southeast, helping launch a telehealth platform during COVID, and building patient acquisition infrastructure for oncology programs where the stakes were too high to get wrong.
I chose a fractional CMO model because I like being close to the work, close to decisions, and useful where it counts. Smaller teams. Faster moves. Clear accountability.
What I do now is the opposite of more activity.
When I step into an engagement, I’m not there to add noise. I’m there to find where the system is broken, connect marketing to what leadership actually needs to see, and build something that still works after I leave. I don’t hand off a deck and disappear. I stay in until it works.
My clients don’t need another agency. They need someone who’s been in the trenches and knows how to make
marketing drive growth, not operate in a silo.
If that’s the gap you’re sitting in, let’s talk.
